At Pilling St John’s CE School and Nursery we offer before and afterschool provision. We have recently invested in renovating our Rainbow Room which is the base for our before and afterschool offer. 

Admissions for 2, 3 and 4 year olds into a Nursery or Pre-school place are managed directly by school. Please see our Nursery Admissions Policy for more information.

From January 2026 we offer before and afterschool provision for children aged 3 and upwards.

Our opening hours are:

Early Birds Breakfast Club

7.45am – 8.45am

Morning (AM) Session

Start time  8:45am

Pick up time  11:45am

Lunch Session

Start time 11.45am

Pick up time 12.30pm

Afternoon (PM) Session 

Start time  12:30pm

Pick up time  3:30pm

Night Owls After School Club

3.30pm – 5.30pm

We are able to admit 30 hour full time places provided parents are eligible, are registered with HMRC and can provide the school with the required code. We also admit 2 year olds with 15 hour funding (and 12months old babies from February 2026) with the required code. We must receive a completed Lancashire County Council Agreement form before your child begins school.

Children may attend breakfast and after school provision as part of their hours or pay to access these in addition to their Star Class hours. Additional hours can be paid for on a half termly basis via ParentMail.
